Let Your Kids Explore Their Inner Artist in these Art Studios

Art may be messy, but it’s the kind of mess I enjoy cleaning up after. Whenever I see my Naya produce art using paper, paint, or any materials despite traces on the floor, my heart smiles with joy knowing that she enjoys what she does and learns something from it.

Because I see her very enthusiastic about art, I bring her to places where she could learn more art and I keep researching for others where she could explore her inner artist. Here’s my list:

Let Your Kids Explore Their Inner Artist in These Art Studios

Sip and Gogh

Address: GF Eastwood Le Grand 3, 10 E-Commerce Road, Bagumbayan, Quezon City, 1800 Metro Manila
Operating hours: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Rates: PhP 1,000 for one session which includes an easel, use of apron and paint

Naya enjoys painting anything that is related to the rainbow. When she was asked to choose a picture she could use as reference, guess what she chose?

She was also able to mix different colors on her color palette, touch the paint with her bare hands, and she was given the freedom to make her own art. As a signature Sip and Gogh treat, she was able to choose her own drink. The Eastwood Branch where we visited accepted us as walk-ins, but I recommend you pre-register online for convenience.

Ivory Art

Address: Brgy. corner, Park Triangle Corporate Plaza North Tower 32nd Street, 11th Ave, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila
Operating hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Whenever I browse pages and accounts for art classes, I always look for age-appropriateness and variety of activities. Ivory Art hits those two boxes! They offer 60-minute sessions for different age groups: Beginner Art (for kids ages 2-4), Aesthetic Awareness (for kids ages 4-6), Perceptual Creation (for kids ages 7-9), and Visual Design (for kids ages 10-15).

What’s great about their classes is that they have guides to help the kids during each session. Their materials are age appropriate, and very well thought of. I can’t wait for Naya to try her hands on any of these sessions!

KIT101 Art

Address: 9/F Menarco Tower, 32nd Street, BGC, Taguig City, Metro Manila
Operating hours: varies per session
Rates: starts at PhP 8,700 for 4 sessions; complete rates are available at kit101art.com

What sparked my interest in the classes they offer is that they highlight the process more than the product.

For those with school aged children (at least 4.5 years old), KIT101 brings a range of options such as: Chibi Art, Art Movements, Gouache Painting, the Art of Hand Lettering, Fantasy Characters, Acrylic Painting, and even Digital Comic Illustration. Also, their art sessions are done in small groups which ensures a more focused approach.

Since they also have classes for adults, I might consider going into one in the future so Naya and I can learn together.

Little Picasso

Address: Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces | Unit B1 167 Place Bldg., Commonwealth Fairview, Quezon City, Philippines
Operating hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Rates: Available via their contact number 0917 546 0515

Sessions for watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting, and sketching and drawing are available in Little Picasso, and I can just imagine my Naya enjoying every bit of her time here. Kids as young as 3.5 can join classes, proving that it’s never too early for us parents to allow our kids to discover their creativity.

What are you waiting for, Moms and Dads? Enroll your kids in one of these art sessions and allow your little ones to express themselves through art, with you as their best guide, by their side.
