In today’s feature, Jessu’s mom and dad definitely show us the meaning of “I love you to the moon and back!” as they poured so much love into creating one adorable first birthday celebration for their little one. The thoughtfulness that went into planning this party is something we truly admire because Jessu’s parents aimed to have a zero-waste celebration!
They believe that one of the best gifts parents could ever give their children is a better and healthier place to live in. That’s why making decisions like ditching single-use plastics and doing without party balloons for an eco-friendly celebration was super important. Go on and check out how they managed to create such a meaningful event through these snaps from Paul Novillo Photography.
What we’re digging:
- The zero-waste starter kits as party favors, which Jessu’s parents put together themselves! Inside the goody bag is a bamboo toothbrush, a reusable metallic straw, eco-friendly soap bars, and a bamboo comb. We love how they made this party so meaningful by equipping their guests with tools to start living a zero-waste lifestyle, too.
- The theme of course! The story “Guess How Much I Love You” will always be a favorite thanks to its heartwarming message. And since the book also has beautiful watercolor illustrations, these images were used as the cutest party details, from the invitations to the table centerpieces. So adorable!
- We love the outdoor, backyard feel of the venue because it stays true to the woodland setting of the story! The venue definitely makes you feel like you stepped right into the book’s pages.
- I’m a big fan of Jessu’s birthday cake! It had the phrase “To the Moon and Back” as the topper, while illustrations from the story surrounded the layers. Absolutely beautiful!
