Even though pregnancy has many ups and downs, it’s one of those milestones in every woman’s life that is absolutely worth celebrating. And what better way to enjoy every bit of it than with a baby shower? So if you’re the expectant mother’s sister, her trusty girl friend, or even the soon-to-be mom herself (hey, just grab a friend to organize it!), here are seven baby shower games that will surely have everyone laughing!
Materials Needed:
- Toilet paper (LOTS of them!)
Instructions:
Group the guests into twos or threes, and have each group assign one member to be the “baby”. The challenge is to make the sturdiest and best-looking diaper using only the toilet paper. It’s up to the momma celebrant to decide which diaper is the best!
Materials Needed:
- Baby food purees
- Blindfold
Instructions:
Get volunteers to be blindfolded and guess what the baby food is. Whoever guesses it right wins!
Materials Needed:
- Little baby figurines
- Ice trays
- Glasses or bowls
Instructions:
Each guest will be given an ice cube with a baby figurine frozen inside. The trick of getting it out is up to the one who’s playing. They can use any technique they can think of to melt the ice, but the use of hot water is a no-no! First one to get the baby out and shout “My water broke!” wins.
Materials Needed:
- One baby photo from each guest–let them write a brief description at the back that will serve as clues later on (birth weight, favorite food as a baby, favorite nursery rhyme, etc.)
Instructions:
Before the party, ask and collect one baby photo from each of your guests. The host will read the description and whoever guesses it right first, wins!
Materials Needed:
- Diapers
- Different kinds of chocolate bars (make sure to crush, melt, or squish the chocolate so that it will be hard to identify)
Instructions:
The participant has to eat the chocolate out of the diaper and guess what kind it is. First one to get it right, wins!
Materials Needed:
- Baby bottles
- Beer, wine, or any alcoholic beverage of your choice
Instructions:
Participants will be given one baby bottle filled with a beverage. First one to chug the bottle empty, wins!
Materials Needed:
- Baby shower Bingo cards (one baby shower gift should be written on each box)
- Colorful candies (Just to make marking your cards sweeter!)
Instructions:
While the mother-to-be opens each gift, participants should mark whichever gift comes up on their card with a piece of candy. Whoever forms a pattern and shouts “Baby Bingo!” first, wins!
